Named for a great leader who helped the Goblins rise out of their early struggles on Nexus, the City of Argaton is famed for its blending of architecture with natural beauty. Plants and vines cover many structures, and the fruits grown in public spaces are free for anyone to eat. This is, of course, a much better deal than you’ll find anywhere at Fortone, but you also won’t find the Fruit of Valen in Argaton. The buildings themselves also reflect nature in their designs, with many being made from carved wood. Following a major (but fortunately not lethal) fire 40 years ago, the Trolls came to the aid of the Goblins by helping to install an extensive fire suppression system throughout the entire city to prevent future disasters.
The region of Eksitore is home to Nexus’s Goblins. A land of great forests and sprawling plains, it seemed perfect for the early Goblins’ agricultural economy. However, due to poor farming practices, nutrients in the soil were eventually depleted, and they had to find a new home in the forest that became the City of Argaton.
The proximity of Eksitore to the Shefri Peninsula led to the development of strong relations between the Goblins and the Fairies. This was exemplified by the creation of Fortone, the Fairy-Goblin Market. Creatures from across Nexus came to trade at Fortone (and often left with much less money than they anticipated), which helped to boost the struggling Goblin economy. Now, the goblins havere covered from their initial struggles, and their settlements can be found throughout Eksitore.
